h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hello!

Well, we've been home for 5 days and there is still a little bit of stuff that needs to be unpacked ... and there is A LOT of dirty laundry! I had such a great time visiting with my sister and her family. Family is very important to me, and I'm fortunate to be close with all 4 of my siblings (though they all live so far from me!) My sister has 4 kids (11, 9, 7, and 4 years) and it was so funny watching the little ones play. I'm so happy we were able to spend so much time with them. It just makes me sad that it will be more than a year before I see them again. We also had a chance to visit a few museums and other touristy things. My 3 year old daughter now claims to hate museums. If you ask her about her trip, the first thing she will tell you is "The flight was 10 hours!" Why can't my children sleep on the plane?

It is nice to be home though.

Glad to hear you had such a nice time. It's great that you are so close to your family, even if far apart distance-wise. The touristy stuff sounds like it would have been wonderful, too.

That's funny that your children didn't sleep on the plane... what a long flight that must have been for you all! I don't mean to laugh, but I can't help myself. Long flights make me crazy, I can imagine how torturous it must seem to a little one with a short attention span!

I'm really tired this evening so I won't be online much longer, but I am really looking forward to seeing you around and catching up more once you're unpacked and settled back in some, and "normal" life resumes.

Wow that is a long flight for little ones (big ones too).

It is a good life when you are happy to go on a trip, have a good time while gone and you are happy to be home.
