I just watched Kill Bill - it seemed good though I lost most of the film fantasising about ways of executing the three people to my immediate right.
I propose an ammendment to the law: "Anyone who answers a mobile phone and/or has a very vocal conversation lasting over five minutes in a cinema while the film is running is no longer protected by the assault and murder laws"
What does everyone think?

Funnily enough, I also went to see Kill Bill today with weegie. Luckily, there were no noisy c**ts near us.
Personally, I think people who make a noise in the cinema should just be chucked out as quickly as possible. Everyone knows the "drill" that as soon as the film starts you shut the f**k up and watch it. If they can't, then they shouldn't be there.

Sadly not everyone knows the drill, ach well.
What did you think to the film?

I thought it was really good. Nowhere near as sadistic and violent as we'd been lead to believe (the violent scenes were also very very tongue in cheek and not remotely real-world) and the whole thing came across as a very stylish very enjoyable fight movie. Also, giving it a female protagonist was a nice touch. And there were so excellent moments of humour (such as The Bride visiting the Japanese sword maker and him and his assistant bickering over the sake).
I can see why Tarantino cut it into two parts, as well. There was very, very little of the film I felt could have been happily edited out (around ten minutes or so) and a 2 hour 45 min (about the maximum length the studios will allow these days for a mainstream movie) edit of Kill Bill would have left an awful lot of good scenes on the cutting room floor. The final scene in Volume 1 with Bill's revelation was a natural end to the first part, too.

I liked the anime sequence a lot. I thought most of the film was fantastic, the only thing that annoyed me (besides the peeps in the cinema) was that uma thurman seemed unable to deliver any lines well. I wish they'd got someone else. Oh well.
Key: Complain about this post
