Ahhhh Fall

Yes, I know that it's still summer in most of Canada, and the rest of the northern hemisphere but it's nearly the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, as someone once said, here in Yukon. Yes, I am pleased to see it. For the simple reason that it has been a terrible summer. Apart from the fact I seem to have been super busy, a plumbing problem meant I had a partial flood in my basement. That is where my computer is located, hence the fact that I haven't been posting recently. More importantly my 14 year old dog died of cancer in July. Unfortunately none of you ever had the good luck to meet Zack. But there are many people both in Canada and the UK who are missing a very special friend.
On a lighter note the autumn means that I will be headed Outside for the first time in two years. Either to Britain or just to Vancouver, either way I will be catching up with some friends.
Over this summer I have been working a lot with tourists. Now, many of the tourists here are very nice, intelligent people. I met a small group from Finland today who were great to talk to. But we get some who are shall we say, a little informationally challenged. Which leads to my top weirdest question of the summer, "Are you from Germany then?". For the record I am Welsh as is my accent.
The top stupidest question I have have been asked, whilst working in WHITEHORSE, the CAPITAL of CANADA'S YUKON TERRITORY. "So, how long have you lived here in Alaska?"
Tourists, if they didn't exist we'd have to invent them.
On the grounds of international relations, particularly with respect to elephants, I am witholding the nationality of the award winners. If you are curious, just think of Pierre Trudeau.
