I have nothing profound to say at this time, I've had no life altering revelations to share, just...if you have some incite to give, some goodness to share, or an opportunity to just be nice to someone, please just do it.
Just as there are reprecussions, long after a negative output, you have no idea of the goodness accompolished, long after you fill a small space in another beings life, with positive energy. hollypuppy
please take this observation into account, in any way it applies to your existance

A big hollypuppy, & sincere hopes for a speedy, & relatively peaceful resolution, as the war drums resound in the distance & begin a frenzied accelleration.

Hey!
yeah, I can feel the tension rising, and, unfortunately , don't see a peaceful end in sight, yet. I try to bury my head in the sand,in the hopes of avoiding the stress over something that there's no way to control, but that's not very effective coping mechanism I'm afraid. Anyway, the pups are doing well, and we've spent a considerable ammount of quality time together recently.(I have permenantly limited my p.c. usage to one hour at a time, so as not to waste away an entire day, ever again, in front of a screen.) hollypuppy

Hi *waves*hollypuppy
No, it doesn't look good & the tension is certainly rising . I think the only thing we can do is try to live our lives as normally as possible. And in that respect, its good that you're spending more time with the dogs. Saw my brother's part Husky, Prince, briefly on the weekend but he was strangely somber & quiet, which is a little unusual .

I posted a reply to your posting, I believe two days ago, but it doesn't look like it went through. I just said that I think pets take on alot of the emptions of the people they live with,a nd they know things on a different level, they have an awareness that surpasses our understanding. I hope he cheers up soon. When mine get moody I usually ask whats wrong, and since they don't answer me in a way I readily understand, I tell them that it's ok, we have enough food, and we are safe, and they usually are fine with my approach. I don't suppose I'd know if they thought it was rediculas...anyway, he'll be o.k I'm sure. I also asked about that meetup and offered my opinion about how I thought it could go over really well. (like I'd know, I've never taken part in anyyhing of this nature)But I thought it would be effective and fun if it was planned around festivals, or small county fairs. Always something to do, and see. I really wasn't clear on how it would actually go either. If it was going to take on a caravan type of format, or if just the two people mentioned are going to stop, greet and leave. I'd love more info. hollypuppy

Right, I know what you mean about pets picking up on things - they definitely have an awareness, thats for sure. Its just that he's usually so friendly & active, but I'm sure that was most likely it, the general uneasiness in the air. I'm sure poor animals in that Middle Eastern area have really been acting very odd this past month or so! To say nothing of how they're coping with all the bombing, etc!
About the meet-up this summer, I know they're planning to meet CA area people at the Gilroy Garlic Festival...& should catch the first day or two of our Fringe Theatre Fesival when they stop here. And I think they're open to the idea of people travelling along, either in separate vehicles, or just hitching a ride temporarily (like, just into the next state, or couple states if they've got the time).
