h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

It seems to me that things have slowed considerably on H2G2. Is it just me, am I missing something big going on in the world which is more pressing? Other than the whole "war" thingy and such, I can't think of why I haven't seen so many of the regulars online recently.

Especially on H2IQ and some of the other threads which used to move a bit, there just aren't that many posts these days. Please, someone tell me I'm just being paranoid, or that this happens every year at this time! Please!

Hi Mikey Pie, I've noticed things are slow too. I've noticed too that the conversations on hootoo slow down some on weekends. I just put it down to individual schedules and quirks. For example Kea is having her computer worked on right now. But I think part of it may be the change in seasons. Now that it is Spring in Memphis, I am getting out more, going for walks, etc. I want to enjoy it before it gets blazing hot, which it will all too soon. The other thing that's keeping me offline more is that I've just joined a singles group. It's time to beef up some "real life" connections.

Thanks for the note JEllen. You're probably right that the seasons have something to do with things. Also the British holiday schedule (which is a mystery to everyone including the British) could a count for the occasional weekend blackout.

I've been madly trying to build-up my business, so I spend all day every day talking to people in and about real life. I rather enjoy the moments of unreal life I spend here, and find the lack of "reality" very reassuring.

Thanks for noticing and thanks for the hello! I've been checking my H2 conversations around once a week since the big summer slowdown began. I just don't have much time to get online right now (that will likely change as the weather cools off), so I'm not doing a good job of keeping in touch with everyone.
