h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This would have been a mac that I'm typing on, but for the fact that at megans school they only have PC's. I thought it best to ensure compatibility, but on seeing the PC's they have i think a steam engine would have been better(I have not yet seen the new computer room but the in class ones are windows 3.1!)

Interesting ,yet another way we are pointed towards MS.
Schools tools and food are very commercialized/politicalized here.
Coke or Pesi
Pizza Hut or Macdonalds
Rules about all having the same supplies down to notebooks that are of a particular brandso there is no discrimination amoungst the kids.
They wonder why the kids are fat yet put the fast food in the schools to keep the money rolling in from these "sponsers"

Good to shake it out and dust it off! It is vey posssible for students & teachers to get discount on microsoft software. For example Office xp std £429, student version £129. Any wonder that Bill owns the world.
I'm off to bed before this gets me too angry!
