thank goodness, my voice came back yesterday evening! the taste buds are still muted somewhat, and the nose is still bunged, the cough slightly less racking, i'm going to live
!
ok, so i wasn't in any true danger of shuffling off this mortal coil as it were, but this bugs's been bloody nasty all the same!
yesterdays newspaper reports on how thousands of workers are throwing sickies 'cos it's so hot hasn't helped much. at least i spread some germs round on monday. i, on the other hand have been flinging windows open and keeping curtains closed and wondering round the house in a pair of flipflops
. there is a dressing gown at the ready in case someone ignores the quarantine notice on the gate and knocks at the door.
i think i should be fit enough to brave public transport tomorrow and actually go to work. i might make it to the shops at the end of the road for some essentials like bread and milk today. i went to make toast for breakfast and something growing on the bread waved at me.
i shall leave you with that oh so lovely thought

I missed your naked correspondence with seraphina yesterday as I was in Rhyl. Even being at home with a cold you had abetter day than I had steering a couple of pocet wallet emptying, patients testing, ketchup smearing, sand kicking kids rounds the boil on the bum of britain that is Rhyl.
And to top it off there were two semi newd ladies on h2g2 that I missed.
Like the idea of a au naturel thread though.
A coulple years back I was seeing ny best mate Simons cousin. Si and I had been out for a boozy night and the next morning we were havin brekkies and wathching SMTV when my girlfreind rang. She asked if she had woke me I said id been up for a little while. She asked if I was still naked, I lied and said yes. We spoke a little more as she was stuck at work. She asked what I was up to and I told her about TV, food Si etc..."but youre naked!"
"Oh yeah me and Si watch cartoons and eat toast naked most mornings after a night on the beer"
"I dont believe you what are you like?"
20 minutes later theres a knock at the door. I had shorts and a Tshirt on Si is still in clothes from the night before. "Si take your clothes off quick" being the best mate I have ever had his shirt is off and his trousers are down before he asks why. I tell him as I leave the room taking my clothes off as I go. I answer the door naked and my girlfreind just laughs. In the meantime Si has had second thoughts so just as she enters the living room he is struggling to pull up his trousers and pants back up but they have got stuck because he still had his shoes on.
So to her it looks like he has been naked as is now trying to get dressed because she has turned up.
To this day all his family think we have a very odd relationship that not only includes all the normal blokey stuff but the occassional "Naked Saturday"

Was it the wicca?
vocal harmony
daraline, keeper of unusual rats and deranged hamsters Posted Aug 9, 2003
yup, that's right, but so far wicca hasn't cured one of the over 230 strains of common cold, and science can only supress some of the symptoms.
the witch and pentacle refer to my spiritual beliefs and only mild talent in that area.
*wishes she was more likenanny ogg*

i too can induce rain...
...i put laundry on the line to dry.
seriously, i have been interested in the arts for many years now. i do tarot occasionally, and tend to be accurate. that's why i don't do it too often! i can sense spirits(at times), that usually are family, but have had a few 'stranger' incidents too. they have been freaky, unusual but not scary, in the whole anyway. as a teen attracted v mild poltergeist type thingie. i also dream stuff before it happens. i think i've had that recently with jonathan. he brought some russian dolls for me when he came to my bbq, and when he gave them to me, it was like he was giving them back
. they were very familiar, and when i put them on the unit in the living room, it was where they should have been. i've never owned a set before, but i think i remember dreaming about russian dolls a couple of weeks before the bbq. weird eh?
i haven't dabbled too much as i've been on my own for most most of it, and didn't want to start something i couldn't finish or handle.

Ive had those sort of experiences for years too, a coule of freaky ones as well.Empathy of all sorts seems to be my thing..though i can be perceptive as well. I think i started practising to help develop it..it just seemed the natural thing to do.

i think it's the cautious side of my nature coming out. i think what put the frightners on me, was when i was about 13 or so(possibly a bit younger), my mum suggested i try meditating into it(if you know what i mean), so i tried zoning in, and scared the pants off myself. it felt scary, lonely and big, and i'm only a little me(figuratively speaking), and i've got that memory floating around at the back of my mind which is kind of off-putting.
the spirit thing is one i'm quite used to, having had that since i was a baby. i don't sense as much as i used to, but then rl keeps getting in the way.

Whats rl?
vocal harmony
Serephina Posted Aug 14, 2003
"real life"
Ive recently started meditating myself.. its rather nice if you can relax enough.a little like being stoned
Why do memories of unpleasent experiences always hang about longer than pleasent ones? I hate that.
