I dislike Google+. I dislike it because people are being railroaded into using it by Google, despite the fact it offers no benefits that you can't get elsewhere.

My networks on Twitter and Facebook loved it. Apparently it struck a chord. "Google+ offers us nothing!" they said, "We don't like being railroaded into using it!"

Well, we were all wrong. It does offer something unique. Google+ tells you when you're being badmouthed by people you don't know! Imagine that!

Here's some highlights:

Is it possible to close the google plus thinggy, without messing up GMail etc?: I vaguely recall looking, after getting fed up with the EMails from google plus, but chicken out hitting the unsub button, I eventually* found, as it was a little vague as to if I was unsubscribing/leaving just* google plus, or about to whipe my GMail E-mail account at the same time...

balls... really? I can't get out of it, without loosing my GMail E-mail etc? they might have warned about that before I signed up in a bout of moderate curiosity... damn that curiousity...

it drives me crazy that I can't delete my account. I have never managed to get the hang of it but I hate being automatically logged into it

Yeah, Google really takes "don't be evil" seriously.
