Secretly Not Here Any More

I dislike Google+. I dislike it because people are being railroaded into using it by Google, despite the fact it offers no benefits that you can't get elsewhere.

So I blogged about it, to much acclaim: http://www.unmemorabletitle.co.uk/the-great-google-plus-swindle/

My networks on Twitter and Facebook loved it. Apparently it struck a chord. "Google+ offers us nothing!" they said, "We don't like being railroaded into using it!"

Well, we were all wrong. It does offer something unique. Google+ tells you when you're being badmouthed by people you don't know! Imagine that!

Here's some highlights:

"That's not constructive criticism it's just a Google hate rant"

"I'm finding it hard to say something polite. No wonder he's shitty."

"Andrew Nattan has small points in the article, but overall it's just what Eileen expressed already, linkbait. From what I have actually learned is just about Andrew. He didn't expose much else, rather about him. I imagine he is a local guru who likes his local clients paying him and never minds global community conversations. And that's nowhere near of a communication I would expect from an expert."

A guru? Moi?

How bloody offensive that is.

Just say the word, and I'll go over there and explain to them in my best Monty Python, "He's not a guru. He's a very naughty boy."

Is it possible to close the google plus thinggy, without messing up GMail etc?: I vaguely recall looking, after getting fed up with the EMails from google plus, but chicken out hitting the unsub button, I eventually* found, as it was a little vague as to if I was unsubscribing/leaving just* google plus, or about to whipe my GMail E-mail account at the same time... smiley - ermsmiley - weirdsmiley - badgersmiley - handcuffs
