String Theory - a poem

I make a net for catching truth
Carefully knotting the tight words.
It's surely big enough, you'd think
Not to elude my woven cords.
Of course, it wriggles through the holes,
Escapes again as my net fails.
But who'd resist its opal flight?
And look, these sparkles are its scales.

Is it true I ever trapped the gentle wing thing
That baffles me today beyond my wits?
Yes I remember clearly how it danced and ran
Right into my nets so carefully
So hoplelessly laid down
