The Summer Party 2004 - Unc's account
Estelendur (AKA Esty) Posted Jul 11, 2004
I was referring to your long name. The rest of it, that is. Want to meet Coren?
The Summer Party 2004 - Unc's account
TeaKay Posted Jul 11, 2004
Ahhhh... O.k
Yeah, O.k. Though I haven't really 'met' you yet- we've just said hello and had a small misunderstanding revolving around name lengths.

Coren's Esty's imaginary bi elf with a slight obsession for a computer game character called Garrett. It's best not to ask too much about Coren

Coren: I ain't imaginary! Just because I have no corporeal body in this universe doesn't mean I'm not real!

Hi Unc, shame we somehow didn't manage to chat longer , but then there were so many people, so it's probably quite natural that one doesn't manage to chat to all of them
Anyway, I was glad to meet you

TeaKay Posted Jul 12, 2004
Sounds like a charming person. Being imaginary (or uncorporeally [Unc- another new word!] physical) is no basis to discriminate.

Coren: Wha? Oh. I'm glad you think so. I am glad that this is the only world I've encountered I can't be corporeal in.

TeaKay Posted Jul 12, 2004
You can be anything you like in my world, within reason. But what my world dictates to be reasonable isn't necessarily the same as everyone else's.

Coren: So what's your definition of reasonable?
The Summer Party 2004 - Unc's account
TeaKay Posted Jul 12, 2004
All depends on the circumstances, really. I guess I have no hard and fast definition of what's reasonable or not, it just goes by a case-by-case basis.

I don't think there can be a hard and fast rule of reasonible, as it is all dependant on the context.
However in the context of h2g2 an insubstantial elf that exists on many planes of reality is fairly reasonible.

OOoooh,
That's the problem with meets, they just aren't long enough to talk to everyone
h2g2 is a very improbable place
The Summer Party 2004 - Unc's account
Researcher PSG Posted Jul 12, 2004
There are definately a lot of people to say 'Hello' to in a short space of time at meets.
Absolutely. A haven for the slightly unbelievable bits of reality
