We pay universities money, not the other way around
Though I got an email about my final year project, they've budgetted a whole £50 per person.

It has to cover all experiments, inter-library loans and lab analysis. It has to be possible.

Good luck to you.
Is it not possible to supplement it with your own money, or have I got an insufficient grasp of student finances?

Laura Posted Apr 20, 2004
Student finances involves starting with a negative amount of money which gets more negative as time progresses. Still, first things first, I only found out what tutors I can badger to supervise me this afternoon.

Negative, you say?
That must fascinate the mathematicians.

I'm now very glad that I don't do maths. Don't even start on number theory...

I got as far as AS then ran.
I can't go any further with number theory, I'd already run before things got that complicated.

I didn't take it that far. Or chemistry, or physics, which have all made me immensely happy, but each to their own I suppose.

Me neither, though in hind sight I'd have taken chemisty. Trying to calculate electrical conductivity without even fully understanding what a molar was involved a lot of work. GCSE was a long time ago.
Atmospheric physics wasn't easy either. *shudder*

Oh, the sweet days of GCSE, when you could get a mark for ticking a box...

Oh, I still have MCQs sometimes, but they are nasty . I'd much rather short answer or essay questions.

Yes, there is more freedom there than when the answers provided aren't what you think the answer is.

Think I've only got one MCQ this semester, and that's just oceanography.
Going to have to take the photography exam in my lab coat though . There isn't any space anywhere else so we have to use the main lab.

Yeah, and if today's anything to go on, that's going to get quite uncomfortably warm.

Certainly looking that way, the exam's two weeks from yesterday. (Hence increasing worry ). Other exams are quite a bit later.

I have my French oral exam on exactly the same day. Good luck to you.
