Rachie D ..terrible at keeping in touch with people

I'm feeling a bit down today. Three people in my office have been on loads of interviews and have been talking about them. I, however, have not been asked to go for any interviews.

I know I don't want to start a new job until at least the beginning of June, but still, it's starting to get to me.

Hopefully this feeling won't last for too long.

I've only applied for one, which was a long shot. I am registered with a couple of agencies though, so I'm hoping they'll be a bit more helpful nearer the time I want to start a new job! smiley - cross

I had a friend who worked through an agency, in the summer hols from University, and then for quite a while once he'd finished University, it seemed to work quite well smiley - smiley

Yeah, I've done agency work before myself, and I don't mind it - I also like meeting all the new people. Plus the interviews are never as intimidating. The only problem is, when you have a holiday, or on bank holidays, you don't get paid. I will need to make sure that I earn enough to cover that! smiley - biggrin

Good point, I'd not thought about the holiday pay thing... bit like my father really, as he is self employed, he just has to make sure he makes enough in the summer months when work is there, to cover winter when there isn't so much gardening or other stuff for him to do smiley - smiley

I know, it's a pain. No matter how much money I've earned, I always seem to manage to spend it! smiley - biggrin
