I'm tired!!!!!!!
More dirty jobs seen to today. More dust and grime under carpets. More to put on 'the tip' pile!!

Well done Polly - you're doing so well.
Put your feet up for a nice cup of Redbush some (Little R and Middling L have just made them) and post some lyrics to our friends on the Snogs Thread.

Thank you so much, Jane. The fairy cakes are delightful. I certainly think it is time for yet another cuppa. I can't stop coughing(all that horrid dust).
Guess what I found under the spare bed? A desiccated bush cricket. Obviously I hadn't hoovered that far under the bed for some time!!
LouLou at least is enjoying the whole thing so far. Every cardboard box has been chewed. But I don't think that he will like it one tiny bit when I keep him indoors for 2 weeks. I very much doubt that he will use a cat-litter tray. More likely to use my bed.

Re keeping a indoors for 2 weeks after moving, buttering paws really does help to calm a restless moggy! NOT, as I used to imagine, the pawpads or you'd have yellow pawprints all over the house, but on top of the paw; the cat spends ages licking it off. Washing calms the cat down. Supposedly.
Put a little earth in with the cat-litter to encourage him to use it. No cat likes to soil where he sleeps so he's unlikely to dirty on your bed. Or has he done this in the past?
Sounds as though you're doing really well.
Love,
Jane

Jane,
He has used a favourite jumper of mine as a loo!! I think it must have been one morning before I unlocked the -flap.
Oh, and I also found something funny/odd a couple of days ago. He loves cardboard. He hates soft toys. He came across a small teddy bear weeks ago, roughed it up a little, and then carried it to his cardboard box that was behind the settee(used only for ripping and then spitting out!). He put the bear inside the box!
Ages later, maybe weeks later, I noticed an odd smell-a bit like you know what. I couldn't find anything at the time anywhere, and gradually the smell disappeared. Imagine my surprise when I went to clear out his favourite box, and found the teddy PLUS pippee!! LouLou must have decided to abuse the teddy bear because it was still lying about in his box!!!!
So, he is quite likely to use anything that he fancies using, particularly if he is annoyed with me!!!!!

I should have added that he eats only the Science Diet. Any softy food makes him very sick. Butter will make him sick all over the place!! Argh.

Oh dear, poor you, I've just read your post on the Snogs thread about your horrible trip this evening. Sorry I can't stay long to chat, I really have so much to do and all that gets neglected once I start posting messages, but I want to say hello and chin up, you're nearly there! I hope you're not too traumatised by whatever's just happened dear Polly. Your moggy should be there to comfort you but by the sound of it he's more trouble than he's worth!!!
Lots of love,
MJ

Ah, thank you MJ. Will tell you some other time about tonight. It really was nasty. There was my darling daughter and husband, and his lovely friend, and my diabolical neighbours ranting and raving.....
I'm so upset.
Yes my furry darling is here for me, although when my daughter and co left, I had to go for a walk as I felt so unhappy.
I shall leave this miserable road by Wednesday evening.

Hello dear Polly,
I do hope I'm not intruding, but I wanted to offer a word or two of encouragement and a shoulder to cry on if needed. (I 'signed on' to this h2g2 at MJ's suggestion).
I am still trying to find my way around how it all works, so I do hope you actually get to see this message.
Regarding your , it doesn't have to be butter you put on his paws; you can use anything he's partial to which is fairly hard for him to lick off. My Nana once used egg-yolk on her 'Wisky'. Cod Liver Oil might work too.
As for the neighbours, just try (hard though it is) to let it all wash over you. there's not long to go now.
I'm sure all our friends on the Message Boards wish you well with your upheaval.
Love (and hugs)

Dearest B. How lovely to see you here! What a surprise.
You are quite right-I must try and put tonight well behind me. But it has really upset me. If you knew the full story you would be most, um, well I don't know what you'd be!!! It was just an awful evening, and a fiasco. And all in the heavy hail and sleet! And the friend I then walked to, at 9pm, was out! Maybe just as well as I was ready to !!
My darling warrior LouLou has been very sick tonight. I don't think he would be able to cope with cod liver oil or butter or egg yolk.
It's really lovely to have you here. Here is a tiny for you and Mrs. P. Open it carefully. Can you hear it? It is a furry kitten.

I've come back here to say a special goodnight to you, dear B.
Thank you for all that you have said re the move. Next time, I would get the proper removal chaps. No weeks of packing, no grubby print from newspapers, no hassle and stress....
Goodnight then darling B. Sweet dreams. I'll not be here for a few days. Think of me de-stressing in my new abode. And trying to keep my indoors without buttering his beautiful puds!
I think I shall try and find my hot water bottle for tonight.
Big 's, and love, from me.
