So now you can see what me and Dave look like!

Just noticed that it didn't include the @NOO (or whatever) bit into the link.
If you highlight all of that (including the @NOO bit) and then paste it, it might work...
*goes off to try it*

Yep, if you highlight all of the link including the @N00/ bit and then right click, select copy, and then paste it into the address bar and press return, that should bring the photos up...
about that.
One of these days I might get a personalised web address for it, be easier than numbers and stuff!

Pretty good thanks . I've been given voluntary redundancy at work, and my last day is Friday - I get a payout from it, which is going on the mortgage (sensible or what?). It's all moved very fast as I only found out a couple of weeks ago that I'd actually got it!
At the moment haven't got many plans, apart from to relax a bit and then see what I feel like doing. Dave will still be working here, as we both work at the same place. It'll be a bit weird to start with but I'm looking forward to the change .
Canada was wonderful, it's such a gorgeous country and the people were really nice. While we were waiting for our flight back we were sitting in the airport thinking "We don't want to go back to England!" .
Thanks about the pictures, most of it is down to the camera and not us! Picking out favourites is really hard, they all have memories with them that make them special.

Was it a cut back thing at work and were you just rubbish at your job
Are you pleased that you are going though, it will be strange, how long did you work there.
Canada does look like a lovely place, but alas i am not a good flier, so i mainly holiday in England

There were cutbacks, although I've been so disinterested in my job lately that I haven't been all that good at it . I'm glad to be going as I'm fed up with the work, but I worked with some great people who I'll miss loads. I've been here almost 5 years so it's quite a length of time...
My dad's not a good flier either . I can take it or leave it to be honest! I don't think we'll be going abroad again for a while (it's too expensive); besides, England does have its beauty spots.
You and your family got any holidays planned this summer?

Holidays, not too sure at the moment, we might go to the Lake District or maybe try the Channel Islands, but with the wifes mum passing away 2 months ago, there are still lots of things to sort out, like clearing out and selling the house

It can be really horrible sorting things out after a bereavement. Didn't you say that you were having problems with other members of the family over your mother-in-law's stuff?
My dad and his sister fell out when their mum (my nan) died, and they haven't seen or spoken to each other for over 10 years . It's horrible and I hope that doesn't happen to you.
I suppose you'll need a holiday after sorting all that out! I like the Lake District myself, but I've never been to the Channel Islands so I don't know what they're like.

Well apart from the direct family i.e. the wifes brother and sister, we have told the aunts, uncles and 17th removed cousins to naff off basically, they never had anything to do with her when she was alive, but they all want a share of the house and bits now shes gone.
The house will be split between the 3 next of kin only, and since the wake we havent heard a word from them
Have been to the Lakes many a time and love it there, went to the Channel Islands when i was a kid but cant say i really remember it, mainly we holiday in Dorset, Swanage, its not too far and one will prob move there

Hi Lins, just had a look at your photos. V good.
You did the train from Banff, didn't you? I suspect that was the better route than the one we took from Jasper. Personally, I think it would be better still in reverse so that you finish in the Rockies.
I drank some of the meltwater at Anthabasca glacier too - no doubt the purest water I'll ever drink.
Where was the picture of Jasper taken from? Did you go up the tramway there? We did the cable car thing at Sulphur mountain, so all my high views are of Banff and the Bow Valley.

Hi Liz,
about the photos! Yes, we did the Jasper tramway, and it was great . We spent most of the tram ride up squeezing into the middle of the tram so we wouldn't have to see how high off the ground we were . We didn't get to go up Sulphur mountain.
Yep, we took the train from Banff/Calgary (the first bit through Calgary isn't that fascinating!). The impression I got is that it does tend to be busier running the other way i.e. from Vancouver to the Rockies.
BK, my husband Dave is from that neck of the woods in Dorset, he's from a village called Wool and I don't think Swanage is that far away (but this is my geography ). It's absolutely lovely down there .

Wool is quite close to Swanage, just outside Wareham, there is a lovely old bridge close to Wool there off the main road, with a river running under it, quiet, peaceful...heaven
