I really have nothing to say but I adhore what they put here if you don't say anything. Consequently, I'm filling the space with something more conducive to my brand of condescension as opposed to the institutional variety.
Do you suppose they will ever publish Shane's entry in a form she would recognize? It doesn't look good, but, once again, stranger things have a happened.

I have little doubt that what they publish, if anything, will not resemble Lil's entry in the least. It has been removed from Peer Review with the promise that it will be resubmitted at a later time. I take all such promises with a considerable dose of skepticism.
I believe Bernard Shaw wrote a rather extended speech in one of his plays with which you are probably familiar. The speech was not at all complementary of certain classes of people. The play was translated into sign language as I recall with rather rave reviews. You might want to reproduce it here at some point, in text rather than sign of course.

I'll have to look that one up because it doesn't readily ring a bell. Sorry about that.
I think my brain may need to be rebooted but I'm waiting until tonight when I'm asleep so if anything goes down, I won't notice.

I've been on here for about a year, and I've only seen a few rescued pieces make it into the Edited Guide. The ones that are rescued are done so by folk who really really want to write on the subject, which I don't think GTB does.
When I do see a rescued piece, it's usually different from the original in some way.

Well, with any luck at all, she won't be alive to know about it, which is just as well. Fortunately, she published it elsewhere so it's not a total loss, but some of the people here really hurt her with their "guide style" yada yada. It's too bad things can't be more fun sometimes.

One's notions of fun are often culturally determined. =O)
