Can some moderator or ace please wander down here and tell me why I had a post blocked from posting because it contained the word 'p0ppyc0ck'?
The OED defines this noun as meaning 'nonsense', which is precisly my opinion of this auto-moderation.

The moderators are a bunch of skivvys who don't post on the site. They only see referred posts, and pass them or fail them.
The editors, who oversee the moderators, do post on the site but don't discuss moderation issues on-site.
The ACEs are a volunteer group who welcome new researchers. They have nothing to do with moderation.
When one of your posts is removed, you will receive an e-mail. If you reply to the e-mail, the editors will read what you've written and consider reinstating your post.
You know all this, so why the intemperate journal entry?

Hi Trig,
Because this is something new. I wrote a post with the word p0ppyc0ck in it and it wouldn't even load, it just returned to the posting screen and said I couldn't do it with that word in it.

If you have received an email about the yikesing, then please reply to it requesting they ask the h2g2 Editors to adjudicate.
The Editors will be able to read your posting in context with the thread and will make their decision based on that.
Also, it might have been the secondary filter that flagged the latter part of the word. Again, if you haven't received an email, the posting should be returned in a few days.
