The koi came along with the free fish. It seemed to like the outdoor pond. One night I heard some weird noises coming from my garden outside, but I attributed them to the wild rain storm. The next morning, my dog tore apart the fish pond filters. In the process of yelling at him, I discovered the dead koi in the crack between the pond box and the wall. Something convinced the koi to jump out of the pond..
