h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I am one person in several million on this planet. 99% of those people do not know me by name and don't care if I even exist. I am anonymous - a non-entity. Interesting. So I'm telling my stories to a completely uninterested audience. This is better than writing a paperback and having it end up in a yard sale.
So I set up the pond for the koi, even though they died two days after I bought the pond. So I built a lovely box for the pond form, filled it with dirt, put in a very cool filter, and started it up. And it ran for a few weeks with a very dejected Pleicostomus sitting on the bottom. And I cleaned out my fish tank.
The other morning, I had a dream that I needed to clean out about five fish tanks and save the fish, and the spirit of one of my dead koi appeared to me and said, "Save us!" And I said, "I can't, you're already dead." That morning, while walking my dogs down the street, on the lawn of an apartment that had a 'for rent' sign, were a couple of fish tanks, a patio table, and some potted plants. Inside the mostly empty fish tanks were some still alive fish! Just as I was wondering how to get them home, a guy drives up in a pickup and says, "Is that stuff for free?" I replied, "I hope so!" I helped him load the fish tanks, the patio table, and the plants into his truck and he drove down the street to my place. I immediately put the koi, the two goldfish, and the Shubunkin in my pond, and put the six tropical fish into a bucket into the sunshine to warm them up. The guy put the patio table and the plants in my yard, and kept the fish tanks (as I already have one). The six tropical fish are now in my tank and doing fine, as are the fish in the pond outside. Free fish! Merry Christmas!
