Filthy terrorists blew up a metro in Moscow. I cannot imagine why anyone would load himself with explosives, get on a train, smile at the other travellers, and then kill them all with flick of the thumb. Sick!

The explosion was between Paveletskaya en Avtozovodskaya stations. I use that same line to go to my office. Next week I'll probably take a taxi.

So I rented an appartment in centre Moscow. Tverskaya, that's near the centre of the centre. It is huge (140 sq m), nice, and empty. It'll need furniture, but no work. As all apaprtments in Moscow it is smiley - bleeping expensive. In most other coutries you'd get a villa for the same money.
As most appartments in Moscow it is too warm. So what do we have: winter in Moscow: the apparment is too warm, the cars are too warm, the metro is hot and sweaty, and the temperature in most shops is tropical. The limited time I spend outdoors it is indeed minus 20 or so. smiley - brr

This in Moscow - along with the planes. The new bombings in Israel - and the Israeli counter-actions, too. The apparent killing (at least this morning the paper couldn't quite confirm them) of a bunch of Nepalese in Iraq.

I hope I will never be able to even begin to understand what the people behind this kind of thing may be thinking....

Hi Santra

I heard on Danish Radio P 1 this morning about a newly released book called "The Pscychology of Evil/Malevolence". It states that in a given system almost anybody could be made to act with contempt for other peoples' life - your neighbour even.

As far as I remember two Danish journalists investigated who could be made to torture political prisoners in Greece while the Junta ruled (from 1967). It is called "Your Neigbours's Son".

... So I commented on the metro. I cannot say anything about the school. Anyone planning this cannot be human, or animal.

Things like this can't end this way anywhere else.

And I stopped watching news. It's only about how many people got killed here and there.
