Sorry, I'm a little excited!

It's a permanent job, local to me, paid well, and more of a 'career move' than a 'job' so I'm really really happy. Doesn't hurt that I know that they're really excited to have me as well - had interview last night (for 2.5 hrs!) and then had the offer come through this morning at 09.30!

Now, having gotten married and having a new job , I just need to win the lottery or convince DT of getting me an Icelandic horse and my plan will commence!

Yeah, imagine my surprise when the doorbell rings at ten past seven tonight as we were just sitting down for dinner.
I go to the door and there is the managing director of the company, on his way home, just dropping off my contract and stuff, just to make sure that it was all ok and in my hands before my start date of Monday!

Craig was a little taken aback too. Since then, we've barely stopped grinning! Fortunately, we were both in a fit state to be receiving VIPs or in fact any Ps... No porn lying around, house cleanish, hubhy cleanly shaven etc...

PS when you get your Icelandic horse can I come and visit?

You can come visit when I get my Icelandic horse, but like a month or so after I've had it. I want it all to myself first!

Had my first day today and the MD was so excited to have me he was still bounding up and down. He's also played havoc with the induction schedule so that he can show me more stuff (he also manages the sales team, to which I am attached). Very strange but nice! I don't think I've ever had anyone like that take a personal interest before, so I'm a bit bewildered as to what to do or how to behave. Am minding my p's and q's for now though, trying not to pick my nose too obviously etc...

Job is business support something something. Basically, working for the European sales team and sorting them out, as this is a new post. So I'll get to run them ragged and be really bossy, all things I like

Anyhow, how's your things? Mikado still going strong-er?

Well I've certainly never had anyone seem excited to have employed me! So you must be doing something right...

Hope you're still enjoying it anyway, and have worked out what the job is actually called now .

Mikado is going OK - had our first run through on Tuesday which went better than expected so I feel a bit more confident about it now. Trouble is that I'm doing my annoying habit of waking up early with things going round and round in my head, which means I'm not getting enough sleep at the moment. But at least I'm taking the whole week of the show off so it doesn't matter if I sleep late.
