I hope you had fun.
Our school's jr prom is next week, so on poets they announced who was in the prom court (smiley - huh) and because we were in orchestra we got a nice narrative by my friend Charles (a junior, and lefthanded) about who was and wasn't lefthanded in their court. 6 out of 13 people I believe. Then I had to explain to my friends how it is possible that Charles would know who was lefthanded. You just kinda pick up on it. Righties, on the whole, don't notice, but when you're different and there's someone else like you it's hard not to.

And REE was a suggestion for a topic. It's open to many possibilities-using the function and then writing about the article it turned up, writing about the function itself, etc.
BTW-soil, tic tacs, compost, characters from "Knightmare"-the kids' TV show

It was fun, tiring but fun. The chicken was find of dry, the rice wasn't to great, and either was the cheesecake. The dance itself was pretty fun. Good songs+great friends=great times!!!

well now that you've mentioned the fact(very bad idea)...prepare to be interrogated! (only with the most friendly on intentions-in fact I do this to *all* my friends)

So, Skullock, how did you like prom?
Did you have a good time?
Do you have the same opinions as Chauncey concerning the food?
And how about the decorations? Does forced labor produce good results?

Yaeh, I liked it.
Yes I had a good time.
I didn't get to eat the food.
I thought the decor was quite nice.
Usually forced labor seems to do pretty well, why esle were slaves so popular back in the day.

Additional comments:

Chauncery's brother is an interesting character.
It's odd to be in a place in which you don't know anyone, but they all seem to know you.

Keep in mind dear that Chauncey's brother was also extremely drunk, which does tend to alter ones personality. smiley - winkeye

I find that I tend to know everyone (at least by face and name) but no one ever seems to know me. When all my friends moved up to the high school last year (they're now sophmores, I'm a freshman) I kept hearing in particular about one person, Charles, who was my friend's stand partner in orchestra (he is a junior this year, so I never met him in our two-grade middle school). At the beginning of the year I finally met Charles-somewhat like "oh, so *this* is the legendary Charles" So I came into this year knowing who he was, who his violin teacher was, what piece he was playing (almost always the same as Robin, his standpartner, so when I knew what she was playing I knew, by default, what he was working on too). I don't think he had any idea who I was.
Point of the story is that I find myself knowing people but they never know me. Reverse situation, I think.

Glad everyone had a good time then.

That doesn't usually happen in our school because it is fairly small, except with the Junior Highers!

Well it's just that the few times I managed to talk to any of these friends last year Charles's name seemed to come up. And then he was going to do an audition that I was doing too, but decided not to at the last minute, so I didn't even meet him then. And I was what I think you would call a "Junior Higher", coming up from the middle school and not knowing many upperclassmen. But I know a lot of people in orchestra now, which is mixed grade, and some people from afterschool stuff.
Lots changes in a year.

I do believe you would qualify as a Junior Higher! At our school that consists of 7th and 8th grade. Middle school goes all the way through freshman year at your school doesn't it?

I was a junior higher last year then, but our middle school is only 7th and 8th, despite the name. But I'm a freshman now smiley - smiley (but that's not really something I'm supposed to be happy about because all freshmen are scum and are to be treated as such, blah, blah, blah.) (did you ever notice-everyone always blames things on the freshmen)
The main point is that when you move up to the high school you meet everyone that's more than one year older than you (since they were at the middle school with you two years before)
But I've basically heard of these legendary people from my friends, and then later meet them and know everything about them, while they don't know who I am.
