but to be honest, i'm just as upset that all those states voted so strongly against gay marriage. possibly more, since that reveals a cultural bias that makes me ill and i can at least pretend that bush was only re-elected amidst worries that not doing so during wartime would send a bad message to the troops (which is crap logic, but it sounds better to me than all those people voting for bush because of his character, his agenda, his general neo-conness..). bleh.

It does seem so odd and quite scary to me. Whilst the rest of the world are opening their minds and really starting to be tolerant of people who have a different sexuality, it seems the States is [one of] the only nation[s] to actually be going backwards (please, please correct me if neccessary).

A little extrapolation and soon racism will come back, along with God only knows what.

If Bush stood in this country, he'd be laughed out. But then, we are a pretty much atheist culture, I guess.
