..sorry that I haven't been around much. I'm at least managing to update my livejournal fairly regularly, so if you're desperate to keep up with my life, there's always that .

Njan moved into our flat this weekend, and he likes it. Picky as he is, I have to guess that I'll like it too. I say 'our flat' because it is with uncharacteristic optimism that I'm waiting for our Visas. Yes, my friends, we finally filed visas last week. If they go through without problems, we should have them in another week or two, and then it's just a matter of getting airfare. Going to the summer meet is very iffy at this point obviously, but right now I'd be quite content just to be able to hang on Jamie's coat tails again. I can't believe it's been 3 months since I last saw him.

Anyway, I'm trying to deconstruct my life into manageable chunks in preparation for expatriating myself and the tiddle tids. I hope it works out. Hope for us if you're into that sort of thing.

How was the visa process? 'Tortuous', 'weirdly bureaucratic', 'bizarre', or 'not too bad really'?

Hey, i tried emailing you on the last address i have for you, it went BUT Ivan has my latest incarnation (oh, lucky man!) & snailmail...but this may all change soon since, like you, i am moving.*sigh* Dunno where yet, which is somewhat worrying, but still in France...visas? ho ho ho, can't even afford the option of swapping countries, did consider it, but it may have to wait awhile....probably until i am a famous .

(if that ever happens, i would probably decide to stay here anyway, France seems to have a few of 'em around!)

I guess I'll refrain from commenting on pleasantness of obtaining the visas, since at this point, I'm assuming, they're still going over our applications. They have yet to let me know what the heck is going on. If I don't hear back by late next week I might call, but I don't want to jinx our luck..gah. I'm trying not to think about it.

Fair enough. Let's talk about something else... like the fact that the BBC Homepage says this is National Badger Day. Should we be afraid?

How about a mini-mini-meet in France? If all else fails, maybe we could smuggle you into Youkay (but once you compare the system here to Youkay, i doubt you would want to leave!)

If your settled in enuf by August there is already talk of another meet in London, or somewhere, for those who can't make the meet at the beginning of July Hope the visa's work out alright...
