I just had such a good evening. Wait, it's not even 1 pm I haven't slept since yesterday, so...
Anyway, well, I got a little desperate and I texted james and demanded that the poor sod call me. Selfish and irrational probably, but he did! He talked to me for a little while, and tolerated my freakiness, and talked me down and didn't get too mad either! And *then* he was at a party of a mutual friend who had a webcam, so I got to *see* him! Seeing him smile is the best gift I've gotten for a long, long time. Sorry I'm being so dopey. I'll probably crash at some point, but I figured while I was really happy that I should revel in it.
Jamie loves me!

*giggles at the exhibition of Welsh common sense in post 2* Hi Nadia!
Maelia, I'm glad you got in touch with the boy; it appears to have done you the world of good. Now, do *try* to get some rest...

Glad to see you cheerful again. I've been following your journals, even if not commenting, so it was good.
I've had a great evening too.

Thanks all
I guess I'm just not wired for the distance thing. I've never been one for having rational faith (oxymoron?) at length. I'm a love empiricist . It's hard for me to understand differences in how people deal with it when there's little communication to go on. That, and there's always that paranoia that James has returned home, realized quite how much he likes being employed and on his own...and from there it's a short trip to panic attacks. It's also hard to get over the residual feelings of not being worth much from childhood, and it's interesting where they crop up to interfere with a healthy emotional life. Poor Jamie gets the experience of being with someone who always on some level thinks she sucks and only can 'believe' that someone loves her that much with lots and lots of reminders. Oh well, I guess he's got his neurotic traits too, so I hope it evens out in the end.

Give hima break, we're blokes, real blokes not the soppy berks that men pretend to be in films, "Friends" and romantic songs.
If you have a day where he forgets or makes you feel bad remember the other days before you decide he doesnt care. The exact conversation Liz and I had this morning.
Glad your again!

But James has always been a soppy berk! ...I think. I'm not entirely sure what that means, to be honest

Men can be 'real men' *and* be 'soppy' as well. Bless them! At least in the eyes of us ladies, anyway. Maybe it's only other men who don't get it.

Actually I have no idea what it means, I just like the sound of it.
To me it has connotations symbolic of a silly look on a sheep's face.
...A word used more for comedy than actual insult power. Like 'goyt' I guess.
Why, what does it actually mean? I haven't insulted anyone, have I?

Err, it's rhyming slag.
Berk=Berkshire Hunt, which rhymes with a well known offensive word for the female genitalia....

Meep!
That tears it then... the word will never sound the same to me again.
It's weird how just a little more information can change things so much... Sorry all, hope I didn't offend anyone.
