This was very nice, even if simple
Chop 1/2 onion and saute in oil. Throw in a little white wine and balsamic vinegar. Stir in 1-2 tsp marjoram, and pinches of salt, turmeric, and rosemary, and pepper as desired. Add 1/2 cup orzo and saute a couple minutes, then 1 cup long grain brown rice and saute another couple minutes. Add enough wine, water, vegetable stock (and whatever else sounds nice) to equal 2 1/4 c liquid. Cover and bring to boil, then reduce heat to very low. Let simmer 35-40 minutes. Fluff with fork. Sprinkle generously with grated parmesan and crumbled feta (loooots of feta ). Turn the heat off, and put the lid back on. Let sit 5 minutes or so such that the cheese is nice and soft.
Ahh....

Orzo is pasta that is approximate the same size and shape as rice. It's used in pilaf frequently.
Nice to see you, btw

You should call it 'cheesy carbohydrates'.
Why not submit it for a Post recipe before Shazz finishes working her way through my recipe book?
