i seem to have gotten myself hired for management at a video/book/cd type store. Now I have to get a drug test. Not that I've indulged recently..or even ever! (if bob is reading, he should have a good laugh about now). Thing is, is it possible i'm totally saturated, after having lived with a pothead for a couple years? I mean, the smell - and thus particles - could be, well, everywhere for all I know. Well, hopefully the fact that i've been a good girl and not ed recently will reflect on me karmically somehow and i'll turn up a sound negative.

Oh yeah..I had this wierd dream last night in which my sister visited, which compelled me to be really awful to james and yell at him up the stairs that he was a jerk. Mean old me, James isn't a jerk..usually . My sister inspires bad behavior in me. Next we..as in all you hootoo people..were at a karaoke bar, and i was going to sing and just impress the hell out of you all (right) but i couldn't translate the stupid binder the songs were listed in. Songs were arranged into categories like 'apology,' and 'in love.' I was trying to figure out where to look for that Celine Dion song 'love you more' (). The night came to a close, and I still had not sung. . Yes, poor me (but lucky y'all).

Hmm..I have to wonder just what I was thinking to have typoed 'ex' at the end of 'guys?' in the title

A drug test for a book/video/DC store?

By my understanding, THC remains in the bloodstream for about 6 months. The place it lasts longest is in your hair, but providing you've been off ther weed for as long as you say you have, then it should all have grown out been cut off long ago.

And what is it with having a drugs test for that job? I don't even have one for mine.

Over here, you have to have them for the dumbest jobs, and it's fairly random--I had to have one for KMart, but not to work for the Treasurer's Office (though I did have to have my fingerprints taken)

Yeah, I don't know...but the camp toxicologist today was very pleasant .

Since the job's management, they're also doing a criminal background test, which makes slightly more sense.

see I don't know..I have no prior management experience and know little about the business. I think what happaned is I scored very well on their skills test and she used that as an excuse to offer me a higher starting wage

Yeah, I suppose that's ok . I guess I'm just wierded out because I generally have a very hard time finding work. Of course, now I'm not in a university town, and that might make all the difference.

It probably does - this is a University town (it has at least two) and it's paradoxically harder to find work.. (unless one wants to work for rotten wages at the University cafes.)

THC stays in the system for up to about a month, one of the reasons there is no physical withdrawl symptoms when you stop toking, it medicates its own withdrawal. But as Blues says, evidence can remain in the hair from when that section of the hair was grown.

I dont think you've got much to worry about, but if you did you can buy substances that claim to flush your system, but none of these are scientifically proven. What you can buy which is guaranteed to work is real clean human urine Nice. You can even buy warmers to heat it for body temperature if your tester is anal enough to temperature check the sample...

But yeah, you don't have nothing to worry about. Im damn glad drug testing isnt happening over here to the extent that it is in the states, because I'd be royally f*cked...

The place I was tested at, they took the temp as a matter of policy, and not only did they not allow obvious carriers as a in the bathroom, but you had to leave your *shoes*... I suppose that urine could be smugglable in shoes, but ewwww... (Not something I've ever had to be worried about--I'm boring)
