Bottlenecking, huh?

*thinks of bad analogy* Maybe urban sprawl is just a symbolic reaction to too much information...suburbs, mini-malls, anything to divert some of the traffic to the great center (?).

In any case, how is this working out for you? I just find myself wandering about rather uselessly, looking for all the world to be somewhere else entirely..that is, if anyone dares make eye-contact.

Well, you can't expect me to know anything about von Neumann Architecture, I wasn't a math or CS major, I trust try to communicate. Do with my attempts what you will.

That said, "If people do not believe that mathematics is simple, it is only because they do not realize how complicated life is." I can understand that.

The von Neumann bottleenck is just a shorthand term for the fact that in a single-processor system, everything must be routed through the one processor, necessarily limiting performance. Almost all logic and so on is done in this way -- parallel processing gives people headaches ....

Feh..that's why they invented Advil, right? More speed! More efficiency! Increased performance! smiley - tongueout
