"Tut. you know they only cause superbugs if you dont' take the full course.."
Erm, no, I didn't know that. Or is that a medico's wind up?
That one you can;t drink with, that'd be Metronidazol wouldn;t it? Which is what I am on.

Antibiotics? They only advise you to stop drinking with _most_ of them because it lessens their effectiveness but of course I can't comment on any particular drug and would never recommend anyone combining alcohol with prescribed medication without of course first checking with their GP
(Do you think I got away with it?)
And besides - you could always have a night on the soft-drink tiles, the pub's gotta make a profit somehow

Yes, if you think about it after half the course the bugs that are left are going to be the ones that are least vunerable to the antibiotice - if you stop now they'll multiply to their hearts contend and you'll get more of them.
If you finish the course there's only a few left and your immune system can finish them off on its own..
Oh and yes it is metronidazole

Well apparently it causes an instant hangover as it affects alcohol metabolism in the liver...

Not abandoned, project cascade meetin where they formally tell us all the rumours we've been circulating for the last month.
Have decided I will be a good boy and finish my antibiotics.
Mind you, the only reason I have any left is because I was also taking Amoxycillin up till yesterday morning with the Metronidazol and the the M stuff was a booster for that since it was only partially working on its own. And hence I was on 2 pills a day instead of three, which it would have been if I remembered to wake up at 3am and take the thing
I shall just have to make do with 'cigarettes' instead.

Icky...do you smoke??
I didn't think any of you smoked in this group...I am now officially a non-smoker...the clinic has now discharged me and if I stay off them for the next 4 months...I will be very unlikely to resume th therapist said!
