My only knowledge of Porgy & Bess is from TV...they have never shown it properly though...only snippets of songs and "Summer Time" is a classic you think they would show the film!!

The stage play was on in Liverpool a few months back. Hubby wanted to take me....but I never know from day to day how I will be. I can arrange to go out, but to sit still for 3 hours or so...no it was too much money to waste if I couldn't attend or had to leave early 
I won't go to the cinema either!! Stupid panic attacks

I can understand that, on both counts - I have made it to the cinema this year but after my last experience it'll be a while before I pluck up courage again.
The tour's coming to Brum at the end of the month, if I can talk som ither researchers into going I should be ok
