Its ok, I haven't secretly concealed Master B under the patio. Strictly speaking he's more of a garden guest, but he’s still only visiting!
Tuesday night is practice night at Newport cathedral. After working up a thirst in the tower we all head off to the pub for . It’s usually a very entertaining evening, but the excitement is generally confined to our corner of the pub. Last night however a stray was spotted wondering around the pub garden harassing the locals. A hardy couple and their son were still outside drinking at 10:00ish when they were joined by an unexpected visitor. On sighting their new companion, the female jumped up onto the table and stood their trembling while her other half tried to kick the creature across the garden.
Inside in the warm we witnessed all this, as a slightly bemused but determined animal trundled back across the grass in pursuit of human company. Again he was re-buffed and kicked away.
Action was needed and a couple of us ventured outside armed with a box to rescue this animal, who by now was trying to find a way into the pub through the glass doors of the patio. Eventually he stopped trying to give us the slip and quietly trundled into the crisp box that I put down.
Five minuets later the albino ferret happily curled up in the arms of various rescuers as we tried to work out what to do with him. The landlord suggested housing him in a box, not at all suitable for a ferret, so having an empty hutch in the back garden I’ve offered to house ‘Fred’ (of even Freda?) for a few days.
I’m now hoping someone is looking for him; he’s a very friendly chap someone will be missing him. Details have been left at the pub in question and I phoned the RSPCA this morning.
In the meantime he definitely needs a proper name……..

I don't think my guinea-pigs are going to be terribly impressed when they return to find their hutch reeking of ferret. I think I'm going to be sworn at for a bit on their return.

Ooh - you'll have to keep it so I can play 'Yorkshire games' with it.
On a serious note, have you booked your car in this week?

is an angry B more scary than an angry C?

Wouldn't you be angry if your girlfriend was being offered a set of free new brakes, and was too idle to get her car booked in to get them done?

Not lazy thank you very much! I just need the car and being without it for a day isn't usually an option.
Yes pheloxi they are a pain, but living round here they are the only option for getting around. Public transport just doesn’t function usefully here. The only option that is until I get a bike sorted.
Just phoned the garage.
