smiley - musicalnote with bows of holly. Fa la la la laa la la la laaaa….. smiley - whistle

Nine teaching days left here until the end of term. The arrived yesterday and now that it’s dried out and the fairy lights have been tested the decoration has started. smiley - biggrin

It’s amazing the little things that can cheer up what has otherwise been a fairly stressful week. B’s car died a horrible death whilst he was on his way to work on Monday – so the alarm has been going off much earlier in the morning so that he can go and meet his lift. Oh, and there’s the joy that is car hunting to contend with this weekend.

I broke an already damaged tooth in half yesterday whilst eating lunch. Managed to get an emergency appointment at the local emergency dental place for people who aren’t registered and had some patching done on it. Now it hurts – it didn’t hurt before the dentist got hold of me, and I know I’ve got to go and have it drilled out and repaired at some point in the near future. smiley - wah

To round of my woes it took me four and a half hours to get to work this morning. The journey usually takes me just over 30 mins. smiley - steam

But never mind, time to turn the Carols on methinks…. smiley - evilgrin

And a very Happy Christmas Season to you, Lady O. smiley - smiley

We've just concluded the car-shopping ritual a couple of days ago. Ain't it all just so much fun? smiley - groan So with that fun out of the way, this week-end will be dedicated to erecting and decorating the tree, and generally turning the whole interior of the house into some sort of festive place. For the outdoors, I did manage to keep some control, and have only LED-lit garland along a hand-rail, and a couple of lit and animated 'reindeer' grazing on the front lawn.

smiley - rofl Are the reindeer life size? Have you got the animated droppings ready yet?

I shan't do anything to the house until the weekend before Christmas.

I normally prefer to not have the tree and decor up before the 10th, at the earliest. But with various things going on in our life, and a very insistent spouse, ... this week-end it must be. smiley - erm

And of course, I have the pre-lit shovel at-hand, for those glowing droppings. smiley - laugh

For those who don't know what a kapoentje is, it's a castrated rooster.
