The Red Wiccan - Keeper of Eyeboogers and other bits of goo Started conversation Mar 20, 2002
Ok, I know this is only a few hours on from my last journal entry, but I'm feeling a little different.
My hands can't stop shaking, I'm all on edge and I can't understand why I'm feeling like this. I've not overdone the coffee or sugar - I think it has something to do with the way other people have treated me recently.
Yesterday was the first day for a long time that I've actually felt slightly pretty, I know that sounds a bit strange, but some days I feel short, some days I feel fat but most days I feel really quite ugly. I'm now having another 'ugly' day.
Not that anyone has told me - as such, but the way I get looked at by certain people makes me feel really quite plain and unattractive. Somedays though, the same people look at me in a 'different' way - sometimes loving, sometimes in a kind and fond way.
I know that shouldn't change the way I'm feeling in myself, but it does all the same.
If there was one thing I could wish for it at the moment it would be an equilibrium of everyones feelings.

Hi Louise I know I'm a complete stranger but here's a hug I dropped in to the cafe yesterday and saw your post, I was sorry to see that you were having a hard time but the Tor is good place to hang when you need some perspective and stomping up the hill gets rid of your ya-yas and/or hangover
Anyway if it helps then here's some girlie solidarity winging its way towards you, hope it takes the edge of the ugliness
Also would you like to consider coming to the south west meet, could be something to look forward too
Love Peanut xx

Thankyou Peanut for taking the time to write to me - the was really needed I can tell you, so thanks again....
I don't mean to bring anyone down - so I'm really sorry if it did, it just really helps being able to write it down in my journal. Thanks for the girlie solidarity as well.
The south west meet sounds good, but i'm being made redundant in a few weeks, will have to see what money is around......
Thanks again peanut, you've made my day a bit more bearable knowing that someone cares even just a little bit <>

Hi Louise,
No trouble to write to you, I wanted to and you don't have to worry about getting other people down, Can cope . Sounds like you have alot on your plate, a young man and employment strife no wonder you are feeling abit shonky.
Glad it helps to write in your journal, can't quite manage it myself.
I'm not sure why I'm sharing this with you but hope I don't bore the socks off you but it took me five days to get from Athens to Amsterdam, going through a tense and disintergrating Yugoslavia (always manage to pick a good time to see a place, went to Israel in 87 that was hairy too). It was the end of my back packing stint which had been a great experience, part of the course is'roughing it' by this time I had been roughing it for about six months and over the last four days I had about five hours sleep, too many propersitions and technical hitches so was exhausted and looked s****e. On the German underground there was this lady she was immaculately dressed and quite stern looking in her 60's I guess, she gave me a Foxes mint, a wet wipe and a chipper smile the first kind thing that had happened for a long time, it restored my faith in human nature. Against overwhelming odds, a foxes mint and a wet wipe won out.
Crazy life huh?

Everyone is being sooo nice - and neither of you know me from Adam (or Eve!) It makes me feel really humble that someone out there can care without expectations......
Thanks for that

Hey not 2 worry thats the great thing bout the Internet no1 has preconceived about ne1 and no1 cares about looks, gender or race. U can jus b urself. I can honestly say ive 'met' sum of the nicest people eva via the Internet in the year that ive had it. Ive found people 2 b so accepting and friendly so i really hope that i can attend the SW meet later this year in Cornwall so if ur free it would b great if u came 2! Space hopper races on the beach, cooking outside (badly!)

Hi RW.
Another one dropping in to say hello and welcome (if maybe a little belatedly!) h2g2 is a very friendly place, and I've made some terrific friends here (although I originally met the gals in this thread on another part of the BBC!) and many of them are now real-life friends too.
Others I look forward to meeting IRL for the first time at the meet-ups this year.
I'm organising the south-west meet, with a little help from my friends. Details can be found at A676848 It would be lovely if you could make it and find out for yourself what a wonderful bunch of people these are IRL too. I see you have a VW camper, so I'm sure it deserves a holiday too.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. There are people out there who care, and it's nice to have the opportunity to be able share that.
Take care.

Hi Sus
RW you have a camper van I'm so envious. Am looking at some today but its kind of scary cos I'm thinking of living in one. Have mentally been around my house, what do I really need, what shall I store, what about net access?? Sprogg is up for it not her first choice, that would be living on a boat and spending a life chugging up to Bristol and Cambridge visiting favourite Aunties.

wow! all these hugs from lots of different people, it's really
Luckily, i've been feeling 'middling' for the last few days and everything seems ok with the world..... well, my little world anyway
Peanut - I do have a VW camper at the mo, but she costs a little too much and unfortunately my work is closing in 2 weeks so something has to go.....
I'm still trying to deal with every day things at the moment, but like everything, what comes around goes around!!!!
blessed be and all that stuff!

Sunshine! I have a touch of a suntan, after siting on the front step in my beanbag, shorts on, reading Hitchhikers this afternoon.
I'm feeling great, nothing better to banish the blues than sitting in the sun. - Hope you're all enjoying it too
(& glad you are feeling a little better Sus!)
Ah so you're still ogling the VW's ...I'm with Sprog though I'd pick a boat! Spend some time bumming around the Fjords, fresh crab (Bottom feeders or not - they taste soooo good)..... Oh stop it!
Oh well I guess another day in my beanbag with a or two (or perhaps some pear Schnapps if I am felling brave -(it's OK I don't have a driving lesson till next Thursday - I should be sober again by then
) - will do for now. Followed by tents, beaches,
, s,
,
s, friends &
s in Cornwall in a few months... Can't wait!
s for all

I c-a-n-n-o-t r-e-s-i-s-t... *throws meleted all over Beaver*
Well this bug is very strange... one minute you're on the mend, and the next you're worse than before. Poor Andy had to hear all about it last night.
So Andy... how are you at murals of African landscapes? How much (b) would one for my bedroom cost? She's *so* talented!
The sunshine was great while it lasted (overcast just now), although I didn't get to see as much of it as I'd have liked.
How is everyone feeling today? Made yourselves sick on yet?

Hi RW
On a slightly different tack now, thinking maybe trailer tent. Sprogg goes for that one because she likes the idea of a trailer...
I'm thinking trailer tent in the middle of winter is going to be cold but we have started to talk in terms of a year so more of a challange than a hugh lifestyle change. Makes it more easily digestable for the grandparents.
Hope you are still 'middling', remember feeling wobbley we're here with , pear schnapps and spacehoppers.

*waves to RW and everyone*
Hey P.
Trailers are a nuisance to tow around though. However, if the weather is too cold in winter, you could just hop across the channel and head south.
