I'm just home from the hospice. Elderly relative is holding up extremely well, all things considered. Cancer is now in her brain though and between that and the medications she can be a bit confused - still, it's nice enough confusion - nothing disturbing.
I noticed last week and again tonight that the journey to-from the hospice is a bit weird.
I have to cross town from South Belfast to North Belfast and usually go right through the city centre. For some bizarre reason the journey from city centre to hospice is longer than the journey from hospice to city centre. I can't quite figure out why. On the way to the hospice there's a bit of a one-way system going on but there's a bit of a different one-way system to be negotiated on the way back.
I think tomorrow evening when I go I'll set the milometre in the car and see if it is a perceived difference, a time warp or an actual difference.
Key: Complain about this post
