Well, I did it.......drove from Beauvais airport to disneyland Paris and managed not to kill anyone.
It was a bit hairy at times, and I did see a few flashing lights, but we made it, and like when the Grizwalds reached their destination, we drew up to the gates of Disneyland and almost cried.
Unlike the Grizwalds, disneyland was open for business and we launched ourselves into the magical kingdom with relish.
It was stunning, and we enjoyed all 3 days. I did my first 360 and paid 15 euros for the photograph to prove it - space mountain - wow. I only opened my eyes 3 times.
We left on Thursday in really thick fog for for Beauvais and our return trip. It would have been easier if the manual had let me buy a map, but when you know everything - its easy to travel great distances in a foreign country with only a hand sketch from the TGV station to guide us.
Still, we made it in plenty of time for our flight and there endeth a great short break.
Can't say I'm keen to redo the driving bit, but I loved disneyland, its just that I would have needed another 4 days of work to recover.
