Oh dear.
Ferrettbadger. The Renegade Master Posted Mar 30, 2004
Crikey... I have "Yikesed" every one of those posts on the grounds that impersonating another researcher is against the house rules. Christ how come they have not given up even now.
Oh dear.
SEF Posted Mar 31, 2004
Cats do that too. Last night one cat started watching another cat flicking its tail and made some moves to attack the tail. The cat owning the tail saw what the other cat was interested in and, apparently without recognising it, attacked its own tail (claws going into the person on whom it was sitting at the time). Much leaping about and confusion followed. Cats can be incredibly stupid sometimes and afterwards have a tendency to get embarrassed and pretend that it was nothing to do with them at all.
Oh dear.

horses have be been known to stand upwind in a rainstorm and drown in the process
Oh dear.

Sat, for interest's sake, how many of the people who have put you on their *friends* list are actually friends or even asked if they could?
Just asking.
Oh dear.

I get what cl's saying here - and I agree. Along with the ability to remove yourself from someone else's Friends list, would it not be a good idea to have to 'approve' a request to add you to a Friends list? Like with some IM services?
I'm tired of the trolls. Without this gem of a stalking tool, I reckon they'd be less likely to put in the manual work of checking for new conversations. Nothing less productive than an apathetic stalker.
Oh dear.

"That's right, folks! For only $22.50 you too can own your very own self-defacing, self-loathing, contradictory hateful troll!"
Oh dear.

Too true, aka. Trolls are truly the lowest form of life on the internet, if not the stupidest. They just don't seem to realise when they aren't welcome, or what damage they are doing to the very system they use. They're just like fish, they tend to smell badly after a few days although I tend to think of them as the kind of person at a party who talks to everyone once before the entire room realises what a bore they are.
Oh dear.
SEF Posted Apr 1, 2004
Are you guys old enough to remember troll dolls? They were a bit after my time but I saw them around anyway - hideous things!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
