I'm sure we will. smiley - biggrin If you're coming 10 000km, it would be very bad manners for me not to travel a mere 700km.

700 km = is a distance 150 km longer than from Skagen to Gedser, which is from one end of Denmark to the other, so to me it is a fair bit to travel.

But I am very much looking forward to see you.smiley - smiley

My ex-partner and I once drove 1300km just to go to a party, and then drove back home the next day, so a one-hour flight is no problem at all. smiley - zen

Oh Sweet Tart, I envy you. It sounds so wonderful. Hope you get a lot of pictures, great memories and some shrimp on the barbie. Stay away from the platypuses, I heard they are poisonous. Can't wait to see what bird lands on your head. Hopefully not an ostrich. Maybe you could play a digeeridoo.

Have a wonderful trip. smiley - blacksheep

Ivan: With the distances in your country, like in the US, I expect it is 'nothing' to you to travel 400 km there and back for afternoon smiley - coffeesmiley - winkeye.

Sig. S's parents live near Venice and we spend about 26 hours on driving the 1800 km. But then we stay for a couple of weeks. smiley - laugh

MoFoLo: I have to figure out which Australian bird to lure to land on my head. (See present photo on Facebook for explanation).
Playtypus I have to look up. I only know it as a cartoon in smiley - thepost.

How are you doing, Pierce? On holiday yet?

Pierre de la Mer ~ sometimes slightly worried but never panicking ~

i am okay, thank you

i had two weeks of holidays in may. i met with hati, hapi and santra for the big meet in london. after that i spent a week at 'our' flat in battersea where my daughter came to see me

then i went by train to paris where i met with son #1 who just came here yesterday on his way home from paris where he studied for the past year

we enjoyed my town's festival week (started friday evening) with a couple of my friends. three concerts yesterday - and an adequate amount of smiley - stout

i will have another fortnight of holidays in the second half of august. hati is bound to come here and see me and we will go to see milla's play on the 22nd (as you know) and after that we'll just wing it, i guess. at least we don't have anything pl*nned yet

I've heard rumours about most of it in the Outdoor Bar smiley - biggrin - busy with friends and family but still in a tempo that fits our ages. smiley - winkeye

How is 'our' flat in London. Worth a try-out? We have these vague pl*ns of sailing to England and then leisurely drive up to Scotland...

i liked the flat. rumours had it there was no lid on the toilet, but when i arrived everything was okay. well, okay by british standards, as i was told smiley - biggrin

for instance one space heater did not w*rk, but then it hadn't for years already so this was fairly normal and we didn't need it anyway, weather being perfect until the morning i had to leave, but since i only had to walk 100 steps to the smiley - bus i didn't mind
