WhoamI?
tartaronne Started conversation Dec 26, 2007
Both my daughters are on Facebook - as am I, although I don't know what I can actually do there.
The youngest, 21, has added photos she took because we needed photos for promoting the musical stuff we do together. I don't think we can use them for that - but otherwise they are quite good.
A nice elderly couple, married for many years, at the harbour in Randers, Denmark.
I'm not sure how Facebook works, or whether you are allowed to see the album - but here is a link, if you are curious.

There are a couple of really irritating things about Facebook.
The first is that you have a member to be able to see anything at all. So to anyone who isn't, the link you provided will just be dead.
The second is that you can't see any details about anyone else unless they've added you to their friends list. So, as a member, I can see a black and white photo of your daughter and her name, but nothing else. I can't see the photo you mention, because your daughter and I aren't friends.
This is a good thing most of the time, because it means there is an element of privacy and you can be confident that only your nearest and dearest can see your personal information. But it does mean that Facebook is a very poor place for sharing photos and the like with the wider world

for explaining, Skankyrich. I agree it is good to have privacy even in a public place.
I feared the link was of no use - but it was worth trying.
I suppose I could upload the photos someplace else - when I have time and have got it figured out.
For now - it's the dishwashing .

I think (!?) I've been in there once - but either not made a profile or made one and kinda dropped out again. I have half a nerdy mind to investigate these new social media things, Facebook, del.icio.us, Squidoo etc.
(Well, at least I know the names. Must be worth points! )
But I haven't gotten a round to it

Indeed....
...but if I rattle these here bottles of beer (dozenz and dozens of them ), I could maybe attract a thirsty , you think?
