Last night my father called to tell me that my mother is in intensive care in a hospital north of here. I won't be going away for the weekend for obvious reasons. I'm the only sibling of six that lives here (the others are far away) So I'm going to hang tight in case my father needs help and support. I would just like to go to sleep, wake up and not continuously have heavy weight on my shoulders!

thanks Abbi for your kind words. I took Dad on the 1 and 1 half round journey to see Mom and he feels better knowing that she is in a better place than the hospital closest to us. My brothers are coming down this weekend to give me some relief and also to stay with Dad at night. Today Peter had to go to a hospital 2 hrs. away to meet with his Oncologist. to have tests etc. I was also supposed to have an appt. with a therapist-which I had to cancel_ I'm not supersticious by nature but today is the 13th!!!!. I agree "life is F....ing Extreme" How are you holding up? K

Thank goodness you will have some help/relief. It is too much for one.I wish Peter the best. I hope his trip does not cause a long catch-up. It has to be exhausting physically and emotionally. I am sure he is worried about you too.
