This is a desperate call to all my busy friends who have not had time to reply on the invitation thread.
(for the thread please see the previous journal entry)
My so dear Zantic
Pandora the born again tart
Dr. Munchkin - who has replied but has not given me what he is coming dressed as
Abbi- one of my first friends on hootoo
Gnoman (photographer extraordinaire) I know this is probably a bit frivilous for you, but it would be great if you could spare a few moments. Also your lovely sister)
Bassman - can you tear yourself away from your band?
Jedi - have you abandoned me completely?
All my Australian and Canadian friends.
Waz - doesn't the South African food tempt you to come dressed as a dusky maiden?
az - hope your flamenco dress is coming on.
And my many friends whom I have met en passant - including the potholer in Lyons and his chum who livs in Strasbourg I seem to remember.
And all the nice people I met when I was going to the Morris dancing at Rochester. Please do come to my party. It would be great to have some Morris dancing.
If I have forgotten anyone please forgive me and refresh my memory. I really want this to be a milestone I shall never forget.
Much

AR1.
I am really sorry, but as I have no internet connexion at home I will not be able to attend your wonderful party. It sounds so much fun. However, I will make sure to watch the tapes and admire your mer-grannie tail!
I hope you will forgive me...Here have your early (it's a tail warmer, I knited it myself...as you can probably tell from all the dropped stitches)
I'm sorry AR1
Have a great time..
Please come all you busy people!!

My ever so dear Zantic
I am sooooo sorry you cannot come. Thank you for the beautiful tail warmer. It will be so useful when I swim to the North Pole.
Incidentally how do I attend my own party? I know I had trouble last year when I was convening the cake stall at the Harvest Festival. I could not get onto the right link!!! Perhaps someone - or you if you have time - can help me with that!!
Very much You will be sorely missed

I want to be there!
*OOops still need costume idea*

LL Waz Posted May 19, 2003
Hi AR1,
sorry not to reply earlier but I still haven't thought of a costume. "Waz - doesn't the South African food tempt you to come dressed as a dusky maiden?" Not if it includes sudza (?spelling)! I will come, I'm not sure where exactly it is though. I did find a golf course thread but not the nineteenth hole. Any chance of getting the A number for the page from lurcher?
I'll reply on the RSVP thread by Wednesday at the latest even if it means choosing a costume by opening the dictionary, pin in hand, with my eyes shut .

Hi dear Shea big
Is time all that important? surely we will all be just thinking about it, and if we can make contact on the RSVP thread, or this thread that is all that matters?
I know that you will be there - headless sadly,(!!) but I also know that you will be thinking of me and wishing me well. I do hope that I shall be able to take you up soon on your offer to have lunch with you both in New York.
to you both

Hear Ye!! Hear Ye!!
Thanks to a super person called Pinwheel Pearl I now know how to find people and conversations on this website!!.
All one does is to go to the top of one's home page., place the cursor on the Advanced search (which is next to the Search box) and then type in something like RSVP 75th birthday bash, or even apparently my name Also Ran1 and the conversations and threads will come up. I am so grateful to her - although it is probably coals to Newcastle for all you bright youngsters!!
With affection

It's funny how long one can be here, and still learn new things about the site! I'm always finding new things around here!
I usually log onto (or at least lurk) on hootoo when I get into work, and you can be sure I'll be here for the party! I just hope I'm not too busy, so I can really get into the swing of things!
Swing ... hmm ... maybe I can work out something to swing that head around ...
