That's one of the things peer review helps with - getting all the punctuation, spelling and such just right. It's really difficult to proofread your own work, because your mind *knows* what the words are supposed to say, and sometimes your mind sees it as correct when it's really not.

Peer review also suggests additions and other changes that could be made, although I think you pretty much covered it.
