13.11.11 Challenge Z to write an entry for the Guide

Permanent sexual arousal syndrome?! really? I never heard of that before
In growing toenails and their DIY home-treatment
I really must write another guide entry some day
Do we have things like Malaria in the guide already? how about sickle cell anemia? *thinks*
How about, and I'm not sure how easy or practicle it'd be (nor how desirable in some ways), a sort of guide to understanding blood test results? sort of basic what the various common things tested for actually relate to and how they might indicate a particular illness... and blood pressure etc...

This coming friday's entry on my blog http://guideenetries.blogspot.com is entitled "fitness" - my take on the technological impact on the incidence of coronary heart disease. I don't suppose for a second it will help, but it should raise a smile at the very least. Especially as I had to invent Psychoplasty to cure the problem...

Yes, an Entry on relations or communication between GPs and their patients?
For example: how to see if a GP is trying to push the patient into using some prescription which is not suited for the patient, or the patient doesn't feel comfortable with, or something. (Could be deliberate or not. Did you know that in France, some gynaecologists still refuse to give women an IUD if they have never been pregnant before?) (Or trying to make a patient feel guilty if they don't take their medication as prescribed. Yes, the patient shouldn't do that, but no, it doesn't mean the GP should say things like, "if you don't follow that treatment seriously I'll stop treating you at all".)
Or how patients should be considerate for the GPs as well (not rushing into the waiting room and Demanding to be Examined At Once, or complaining if the GP is a bit late, or something.)
I don't think it is clear at all what I mean here. Just ask for clarifications, or interpret it the way you like and write away!
