It's been moved to the end of March, but I've found another school I want J to go to, so it's getting a bit complicated. He's finally having his speech and language assessments, one session last week, one today, and a school observation on Monday.
Still haven't seen the paedeatrition to be able to ask for a London referral though.

Mmm, I'm not sure what's happened with little 's next appointment with the paediatrician either. She said she wanted to see him personally at another clinic, but the appointment I have is in April with the original one, so we may go back to square one. I must chase it and find out what's happening.
What are the chances for J going to the school you'd like him to attend?

He doesn't meet the admissions criteria - it's a mainstream with a speech and language unit attached for children on the autistic spectrum. It's new, so they aren't full yet, but are only admitting children in year 7, three at a time until they are full (15 kids). So as he's already a year 8, he doesn't meet it.
My LEA are keen I think - his file should have 'gone to a panel' to see if we could approach the school about J as it comes under a different area of Essex, but they waived that and just sent his file over. If the school can meet his needs (which they've told me they can, but obviously need the file) then my council may be able to pressure their council into taking him - to shut me up and keep me from demanding the Barnados feepaying school if nothing else! They've already got year 8s, so it's not as if they can't cater for his age.

Thanks very much! I'm hoping you get hold of your appt too. It's not fun waiting around for people to sort themselves out!
