h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This term we are doing Shakespeare plays in English. The scene I will perform will be from Twelfth Night, act 2 scene 1. I will take on the role of Viola. My first line is-

"Save thee, friend, and thou music. Dost thou live by thy tabor?"

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's act 3 scene 1!!!!!!!!!

Shakespeare is wonderful, but whyfor are you playing a woman?

Just being authentic, I s'pose. In Shakespeare's day it were normal for young men to play women on stage. There were no female actors.

Jimmy says it's because that at that point, Viola is disguised as a dude called Cesario, and he's going to have to shave.

Tell him that from now on he should practice walking like a girl for at least five hours every day.

He's delighted to do that!
