Today I slashed my hand open whilst "overenthusiastically" closing a door. The metal handle broke and lacerated (well, that's what we put on the official accident report) my left hand. I managed to balance the spectacular amount of claret that welled up in my hand until I got to the office where it was duly mopped-up/stemmed with tissues. The nice people in the Ward 8 accident room gave me paper stitches and a large bandage which makes it look worse than it is.
And now I have to go all the way to Possilpark to see my GP for a tetanus injection. Ho hum.
Oh, and I'm not allowed to move the fingers on my left hand much so typing is less easy.

Well we all manage to do rather silly things once and awhile. Like about a month ago I decided that it would be fun to staple my thump...Not so smart, hurt like a b*tch and bled like crazy. Next think I knew I was in my GP's office getting a tetanus shot!
Look on the bright side, we now have 10 years to hurt yourself repeatedly with dirty objects and we should be fine!

Ouch! Poor you!
Sounds like you managed to miss the really bad bits though - tendons and such... There's always a bright side!
I can think of worse things than having to have a tetanus injection, too - dying of tetanus, for instance. Apparently one of my great grans or somesuch was killed by a rose-thorn!
Key: Complain about this post
