12:45 pm and someone's just thrust a glass of single malt (Talisker) into my hand.... OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY - YAY!!!

Is mise Duncan Posted Dec 20, 2002
Don't avoid it - it's one of the best whiskies in the world. Although an office party that starts with the spirits is likely to get messy

One good thing about living in France - the Champagne's cheap, so I've absolutely no idea how many bottles we got through - Although I do have some vague recollection of someone disappearing out to the local corner shop and cleaning them out of at around 7pm coz we'd drunk about 12 bottles between 8 of us...
Office parties when you work in an office staffed entirely by 30 somethings who are all friends as well as collegues and who are all totally incapable of acting like mature adults are great fun!
Oh, and Re Abi's post 8: Give me some credit for sobriety... the Talisker was only 45.8%... ( Although we did finish off the evening with a bottle of 17 year old Balmenach at 63.4% )
And finally... in response to BS, post 9: Catch...
