I'm allowed black coffee, both real and virtual. So far, fourteen and a half hours into the fast, all I've done is missed breakfast and lunch. Not really much to it. It'll be later on when I miss dinner as well that it will start to hurt.

Hmm, is wife and family fasting too? if not, I'd go for a walk while they're eating, that's bound to be the worst bit... watching other people eat.

My wife works much later hours than I do, so it is my job to cook up the rashers and sausages for the children this evening!

... I've an idea, phone for a pizza for the kids, leave the money on the doorstep and run in the other direction when it arrives
