weee I got engaged on friday (Valentines day) to the lovely Heds my partner for the last four and a bit years.

we're thinking of may 2004, which should give us plenty of time to organise stuff and the weather is usual good *fingers crossed* we in the process of deciding on a venue atm going to look round one on friday (sneaky day of work day) smiley - smiley

yeah it was a great day fantastic weather for a day off lucky us. The venue we looked at was really nice and we shall definately be booking there but we'll have to be quick as they are booke for all but one weekend in may 2004 already!

smiley - wow It amazed me when my good friend got married, just how far in advance they had to start planing and booking things, some places seemed to be booked up years in advance smiley - wowsmiley - smiley

quite! it's a good thing the law stops you from booking the registrar more then 12months in advance or else it would go really nuts

smiley - laugh : They organised a lot* in advance, some as much as ayear, but it was still a case of lots of last minute things as well smiley - yikes : especially things like food/photographer, and the clothes hired for some of the people like the best man smiley - yikes (wWhich I'm very glad, wasn't me, but my friends brother!) smiley - laughsmiley - biggrin ( though I'd certainly have come up with a better best man speech than he did... </whispers&gtsmiley - winkeyesmiley - laughsmiley - smiley

smiley - laugh my other half had to be best man for his mate year before last and was more nervous then the groom. He hasn't a clue who he's going to pick as his best man, to the extent he's considering a best woman since he has fewer of thos to choose from smiley - biggrin which is ok with me as she could double up as a bridesmaid since i'm intending on having one.
