I cant get icq to connect to the outside world, I cant get yahoo to load, I cant get past they first page of lycos, and I cant get icq to connect 
.
Whats going on? How am I meant to communicate with the real world?

Get Trillian. Using it you can have Yahoo, ICQ, AIM, and MSNIM. There's a link on my page. Off you go then.
