Love in Life is too bloody complicated

Imagine having a girl or boyfriend whom you have decided you might want to spend the rest of your life with.
Then imagine that this girl or boyfriend wants the same thing.
Then visualise a pinnacle turning point in both your lives, such as the year you both graduate from university.
Nether of you have any certain ideas about what you want to do with your lives career wise, but you both feel you want to be together a while.
Then picture yourselves living 2000 miles away and tell me how the hell you make a decision about anything.
For instance, say one of you feels like doing a PhD, that means spending another 3 years or so in the place you are at the moment, and not being 2000 miles closer to your boy/girl friend.
Then what about even further future plans?
Do you move 2000 miles from your friends, family, language and culture? Or do you expect him or her to move 2000 miles from the same, or do you both just move 1000 miles each?
What do you do eh? What do you do?

I can see those images in daily life, and add to it age gap (I'm 6 years older), and religion- I'm Jewish, he's born Catholic, and mentality gaps - I'm Israeli, he's Irish, and my parents, and his family, and no high ed on both ends- yes, it is a miserable situation. As I see it, one of you has to make the sacrifice of moving to the other country first. After afew years in one place, you can decide to try it in the other country, but the person moving first is making a hell of a sacrifice.I was willing to that for us and move to the UK, and you know what happened. But I still am willing to try it again.
Just try and find out which one of you believes they can make friends quickly, and addapt to changes easily, and decide like that. Sad as it is, these are practical, completely not romantic decisions you have to make.
About further studying- you have to see if it's possible. Maybe you'd rather take a year off, and try and gain some money first and deal with the real world for awhile, before you return to the virtual reality of Uni.
Just remember that reality can sometimes over come love, and you have to be very supportive and attentive to eachother.
Good luck,
Elly.
