If you just can avoid it, do not get involved on a moving project of an entire department. Just don't.

Our office building was under repairs and we moved back. Everything was supposed to be ready by last week when the moving started. Everything wasn't. Whatever could go wrong, did. Whatever was agreed on, was later changed by a someone with absolutely no organising skills whatsoever (so naturally that person was in charge of everything). When something doesn't work, it's Somebody Else's Problem. It felt like mostly that Somebody Else was me and a couple of work mates.
Moving my sister was unpleasant. This was just h*ll.

sounds awful familiar to me 
since our it-geeks could not get our system to w*rk they have now given them a completely new system
guess how that turned out

actually our geeks are okay, but they have too much on their hands and our managers are too stupid to understand why the geeks leave for jobs in Cph just because they they can make twice as much 
there while w*rking half as much and spend a lot of time in the cafeterias where everythings is free
